Ashtanga — full first series ****

Breathe, explore and challenge yourself as you're led through this traditional flow series. The emphasis is on movement coordinated with the breath (vinyasa), specific visual or mental focus (drishti) and the use of energetic locks (bandha) to build internal heat, awaken core energies and move toward a natural state of meditation.

This is the first of six traditional series of the ashtanga system as taught by Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India. Including the sun salutations and standing poses, the full practice involves about 70 poses. All levels are welcome — come do what you can. It's a practice to work into gradually and we're happy to suggest modifications and preparatory phases for all the poses.
Explore Ashtanga ***
An all-levels class exploring in detail the breath work, movement patterns, alignment, specific asanas and the philosophy of the ashtanga system. Deepen your practice working on sun salutations, standing poses, floor work and inversions from the traditional ashtanga first, second, third and a little bit of fourth series.
Classical Hatha ** (wed 5:30 pm & Sat noon ***)
These Iyengar-influenced classes work on correct form in a broad assortment of hatha yoga poses as well as introduce breath work (pranayama) and relaxation techniques. Ideal for beginners or those wanting a moderately paced class.
Kundalini Yoga **
A dynamic practice involving hatha yoga poses, mantra, mudras and powerful breath work to awaken dormant energies and promote a feeling of exubertant well-being. An all-levels class that will leave you recharged, refreshed and centered.
Power Yoga ****
A flowing breath-oriented practice that's different each time. The poses are linked with a sun salutation-like sequence (vinyasa) to build strength, endurance and mental focus. All levels are welcome — but come expecting a serious workout.
Prenatal Yoga *
Celebrate your pregnancy. Restore and replenish your body. Breath, stretch, let go in preparation for the wonder of your baby's birth.
Vinyasa ***
Mixed level flow-style classes for beginning and continuing students interested in exploring more deeply to cultivate greater awareness, endurance and strength.
Yin Yoga *
A relaxing, meditative class with long deep holds to release the muscles and re-lengthen connective tissue. A good companion to ashtanga or active sports.
Yoga for Back Care *
A gentle, effective approach to strengthening the back, restructuring the body and coping with stress. Practical techniques for alleviating neck and back pain. Great also if you're looking for a beginning program easier than our classical hatha classes.
Yoga for Men and Women **

Formerly Yoga For Men, women are now welcome and invited to attend. In addition to teaching yoga, Larry brings to class over 25 years of practice as a chiropractor. The result is a class offering a variety of poses and a unique view on how to integrate yoga into every part of your life. All levels welcome.

Chandra Namaskar **

A Lunar-inspired gentle flow class, emphasizing hip openers, inversions, and pranayama. Grounding and balancing, a great compliment to Ashtanga and Vinyasa classes.
